The RISD Library had rescued the documents as the factory was cleared out in 2015. The collection was a chaos of filthy, well-used shop drawings, pristine technical drawings, blueprints, renderings, communications, promotional material, and three-dimensional models and samples. It all needed cleaning, sorting, cataloging, cross-referencing, organizing, digitizing, and rehousing in archival storage. This undertaking took two years.
